Angels, Evolutionary Mobile Phone Ringtone (2006)

The Evolutionary Mobile Phone Ringtone was released in 2006 for 6670 Nokia Symbian phone. It changes main ringtone on the phone after each incoming call using costume mutation algorithm. The algorithm works with  the position, length and pitch of individual tones.

 

The above samples of my original costume made ringtone and its mutations after first, second, third and uncounted mutation where captured in the first month of its life.

 

The phone that ran Angels was stolen in MoMA in NYC in 2008. Further evolutions of the project are unknown to me.
